What is Pragmatism?
People who are pragmatic focus on actions and solutions which are likely to succeed in the real world. They don't get caught up with idealistic theories that may not be practical in the real world.
This article explores three of the principles of pragmatic inquiry and provides two case studies of the organizational processes of non-governmental organizations. It argues that pragmatism provides an important and useful research methodology to study these dynamic processes.
